Review 1 of 4

Price Paid:  $405.00 from mortone

Summary:
l found in researching for the right inwall that alot are way over priced for the sound you achieve. These paradigms were the exception, they don't sound like in walls!! A fine choice for rear surrounds or anywhere in the house for that matter. They come with everything you need for an easy installation, evem a paint mask for painting them to match the existing wall. They sound very natural, and would be a great choice for many different applications, although not my choice for a reference music system they sound awesome for inwalls, and for even more bass output listen to a pair of Ams 300's with their 8" woofers!! Highly recomended product!!

Strengths:
well balanced smooth sound, nice textile tweeter, value

Weaknesses:
none

Similar Products Used:
boston acoustics, sonance, B&W

Review 4 of 4

Summary:
Since I have a variety of in-wall/ceiling speakers I can make a comparison and say that the ams 200's are the best. I built them into a wall unit w/ 3 cu/ft custom enclosures, so I can't say how good the bass'll sound in a free air space. I can say that the mids and highs will be great no matter what (barring bad placement). The tweeters are absolutely superior to the units in my top-of-the-line more expensive 8" Bostons.

Strengths:
Balanced sound, punchy bass, detailed highs, 100% die-cast metal construction.

Weaknesses:
None

Similar Products Used:
boston acoustics 8" in-walls, NHT 6.5" ceiling speakers

In my judgment the advantage of the MG 1.6 (and other Magneplars), stems from the following: = It is a full-range dipole, and = It has uses low-mass, planar drivers for the whole audio spectrum. These attributes account for its extraordinary clarity, coherence, “air”...
