Klipsch RCR-3 Inwall Speakers

Klipsch RCR-3 Inwall Speakers

DESCRIPTION

The Reference Series RCR-3 two-way, in-ceiling loudspeaker proves that Klipsch engineers are magicians. How else could they pack a titanium diaphragm tweeter, a 6.5” woofer, a premium-grade circuit board and high-quality network into such a small, visually elusive speaker? And that’s before you even hear it. The RCR-3 outperforms bigger, more expensive models because it expertly applies all of today’s top technologies along with Klipsch’s exclusive rotating Tractrix® Horn.

Strength:

Surprisingly full-bodied sound. No-brainer install once the holes are cut.

Weakness:

It's still an in-ceiling speaker

Life is full of compromises, but this one didn't hurt too much. Sure, the sound is coming from above which may not be acceptable to all, but I now have rear speakers that the kids won't knock over and my wife can't put houseplants on. These RCR-3s are (surprisingly) clear and robust, especially compared to the similarly priced units I auditioned. Maybe I had really low expectations, but for my situation (mostly home theater), these speakers are working out very well.
