JBL HTi6C In Ceiling Speaker Inwall Speakers Reviews

JBL HTi6C In Ceiling Speaker
MSRP:
$ 375.00
This 2-way in-ceiling loudspeaker delivers powerful, clear JBL sound in a space-saving package. The polymer-coated aluminum cone with rubber surround can handle plenty of bass for an extended listening session, such as a house party, without producing significant distortion. Includes integrated dog-ear brackets for retrofit applications. Optional snap-together rough-in frames (RIF6C) available separately for new construction.

Price Paid:  $166.00 from Etronics

Summary:
If you must go with in ceiling speakers, or want to for a clean look, these are tough to beat.

Strengths:
Clarity of sound. Ability to rotate tweeter about 15 degrees toward listening area. Price - priced per pair!

Weaknesses:
Better protection around the back of the speaker. Clip springs instead of binding posts.

Similar Products Used:
Bought with HTI55, which are twin 5.25 speakers with a tweeter between. They are part of same series. I use the HTI55's as by L-C-R speakers, and the in ceiling HTI6C's for by surrounds. The HTI55's are really terrific and should have their own review here. When I add the rear back channels, I'll go with JBL's again, but probably satellites on wall brackets.
