Obviously, these are not "In-wall" speakers. The SCM1 Surrounds can be considered a flatter, lower profile 805. While the 805 will offer-up slightly deeper bass than the SCM1, the SCM1 can serve not only as surround effect speakers, but they are excellent stand alone bookshelf or main speakers in their own right. Match the SCM1's with a punchy subwoofer for movies, and prepare to be more than satisfied with the SCM1's performance. I find that for music, the bass response is more than acceptable.

Perhaps one of the most versatile performers in the entire nautilus lineup. You wo't be disappointed.
