First, this review is for ONLY the 5 main speakers in the SA-VE335 system. (Which I think are even better than these.) These speakers should never have left the factory. Their size, like most home theaters in a box, severly limits their ability to produce midbass, leaving a giant gap in any system's frequency response. However, one would think that such small speakers could produce treble well. This is actually not the case. They sound dead and muffled. You can try to squeeze treble out of them, but it just turns harsh. A tweeter could've gone a long way here. As it stands, they only manage to produce a very narrow band of frequencies. I wanted to see how these speakers are inside, so I took them apart. Inside, I found that some measures were taken to counteract the poor quality of the thin plastic enclosures, but they still sound awful. MDF enclosures would've been much better of course. The speakers are poorly assembled. The baskets on some of mine were so detached from the magnets that you could see the voice coil in between them. The crossovers are covered in foam, but they seem to be of very poor quality. These speakers look nice, but sound awful. I'd be willing to bet that all of Sony's small cube speakers are the same. Strengths:
-I can vaugely remember hearing music come out of these at one point, but normally it's just a bunch of noise.

-Poor quality crossovers
-Plastic enclosures
