Summary:
I Bought this system and have been happy with it for YEARS! It packs really great sound and doesn't require that you live in a big house. I have thrown parties at all the places I have lived and this systme has performed just fine. It can crank and the base shook my windows. The souround sound speaks suck though. They are way to quite and just plane suck. I replaced they with 80 watt souround sound speakers from Radio Shack and the differance was huge! The stereo cranks out up to 80 watts on the souround sound channel so the problem was always with the speakers rather than the system it's self. With that small Investment I had a very nice low end home theater system... I love this product!

Strengths:
Strong sound and room filling base.

Weaknesses:
The two souround sound back speakers are very poor, practicly junk. The channel is 80 watts, so the problem is not with the actuall stereo but the speakers themselves. Just replace them with some desent speakers, like I did, and you'll smile.

The unit puts out quite a bit of sound but the rear speakers are very quiet and the remote is not designed well. For $100, it's not a bad deal though.

WELL I BOUGHT THE MODEL SA-AK57 IN JANUARY OF 1999 ANDI JUST SAW IT AND I LOVED IT AND TO THIS DAY I STILL LOVE MY RADIO. I LOVE THE PURPLE COLOR IN THE MIDDLE AND LOVE THE DIFFERENT SOUND I CAN GET. EVEN THOUGH THE CD CHANGER TAKES A WHILE AND THERES TO MUCH WIRING IT WAS ALL WORTH IT.ITS GONNA BE 2 YEARS THAT I HAVE IT AND IT HASNT FAILED ME SO PANASONIC PEOPLE KEEP ON MAKING THESE NICE STEREO SYSTEM WITH DIFFERENT COLORS IN THE MIDDLE BUT JUST A QUICK REMINDER A BETTER MODEL OF A REMOTE. BUT I GIVE THE RADIO ALL THE CREDIT AND THE PEOPLE WHO MAKE THESE PRODUCTS.
