$0.00 Summary: My system is the same as this but it has an RW12D sub. The sound is excellent. Very full, rich and accurate. I have a far less than ideal HT room. In fact the front speakers are not even close to any wall which loses any benefit the rear porting would have. Nevertheless this system ROCKS especially as a home theater. The sound is clear, powerful and dynamic. In the past I found myself constantly adjusting the volume because the music volume would blow away vocals and other center channel sounds. Now the balance and clarity make such adjustment unnecessary. Musically these speakers perform transparently but music isn't their strongpoint because the speakers are so far from any wall. The sub ends up filling up all the lows. At higher volumes they are able to power through this disadvantage---and then they shine. In fact the word "shine" is the right one. They put a sharp edged polish on the sound (so much so that they'll expose poor quality recordings and overly compressed files). By the way my A/V is a Yamaha HTR-5860---good for its day but getting a little long in the tooth. I'm also running presence speakers from the Klipsch Quintet series. The finish on the cabinets is very good even though its just vinyl laminated MDF. Fit and finish is excellent. You could get real wood laminate on speakers that cost less but I wanted black anyway, and audio PERFORMANCE was what I was after not 5.1 more pieces of furniture. Anyway I would definitely recommend these speakers to anyone....especially if they like the "Klipsch sound". 5 stars.
