Review 1 of 6

Price Paid:  $1400.00 from best buy

Summary:
I would like to take this time to change my first review on this system because i did get the S-3 surrounds from best buy and I'm here to say I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER!! it is with out a doubt the best speaker package i have ever owned. lots and lots of room for all the power you need. my onkyo integra is 75 watts per channel and it will hurt you there is sound coming out of the walls. but any way I hope my last review did not alter any one this purchase! because you will love them

Strengths:
timbre like you would not believe. excellent imaging. and last but not least the name Klipsch. That my friends says it all

Weaknesses:
none none

Similar Products Used:
Bic America, Bose, Yamaha, and even some old Radio Shack back before a center and surrounds were needed

Review 2 of 6

Price Paid:  $199.00 from BestHomeCinema.nl

Summary:
The Klipsch F3 speakers are the best speakers I´ve ever had.
The sounds are thick and expressive. High sounds from the tweeters are as soft as silk, while the basses are thick and mighty. Also the midrange is excellent.
Listening music from klipsch F3 speakers is a sensation. Wheter you listen at a low volume or a high volume. You hear every instrument in the music.
It does´nt matter wheter you listen classical music or hard-rock, these speakers play it all.

Strengths:
- Great at high and low volumes (especially high :) 150 watts!)
- Great low range/ high range and mis range

- Everything else according to listening music

Weaknesses:
I have bought them in ´cherry wood´. According to me, it is´nt cherry wood but a cherry print.

Similar Products Used:
No floorstanding speakers, but monitors like wharfedale delta 50

Review 3 of 6

Price Paid:  $800.00 from Best Buy

Summary:
I have my F3's hooked up to an HTR5890 Yamaha reciever in a medium sized living room and let me tell ya- these babies will play loud! I am very used to being around loud music, but these speakers put out all I can handle and more. They are very efficient speakers so they don't need an exeptional amount of power to drive them. My Yammie will put out 120 wpc of clean power and that is well more then enough to get ear spliiting decibels out of them. Even at these levels they perform effortlessly and seem to beckon for even more power. I don't love them just because the can really put out the SPL's, they sound great period.
I have heard demonstrations of the more expensive Reference series Klipsch towers and to me the F3's rival thier performance quite nicely. I have them matched with the C-3 center and Synergy SUB-12 and the system sounds fabulous! I do not feel that these speakers are lacking at all in vocals or mids as the other reviewer stated. I find it hard to believe they were listening to the same model speakers I have standing tall and proud in my living room! I feel the F3's are quite possibly the best performing speakers I have heard in this price range. I could not be happier with them.

Strengths:
Very efficient speakers. Even though they don't require massive amounts of power to
play loud they will handle whatever you give them and dare you for more!
Great sounding speakers, especially in this price range.

Weaknesses:
none

Review 5 of 6

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
I've heard this sytem on two occasons and the last was for over 3 hours so I feel qualified to write a review on this system.

The F-3 system is very impressive looking and at the price Best Buy sells them I had high expectations. At first I was impressed by the bright clear sound they produced but quickly noticed something was lacking.

F-3 Towers: Decent bass and clear highs. Lacking in anything resembling mid-range. Better imaging then my BIC DV-84's but not as good as the Athena F2's I've heard.

C-3 Towers: The most dissapointing piece of this system is the center. I expect the center to blend the mains together and add richness to vocals. I also consider it the most important piece of the home theater set up since the majority of movie sound comes from it. The C-3 is a very poor performer when it comes to vocals. They lack depth and richness. My BIC America DV-62CLRS performs much better and it’s less then half the price.

Sub: Haven't heard the new model.

Overall: The best word I can use to describe this system is empty. There's something seriously lacking in the mid range. Listening to vocals and dialogue is boring.

Spend your money on something else.

Strengths:
Decent bass. Look impressive - Your friend will be impressed until they hear them.

Weaknesses:
Lacking warmth. Nothing memorable about the sound. Way overpriced.

Similar Products Used:
BIC America, Athena, Paradigm, B&W, Von Schweikert

Marantz MA-9S2 Power AmplifierThe list above has one tenet that I continue to hold true: high powered amplifiers are necessary to reproduce the full dynamic range of music with most speakers. This became apparent when I changed from the 100 Watt per channel Bella Extreme 100 to the 250 Watt.....
