Review 1 of 2

Price Paid:  $125.00 from Circuit City

Summary:
This unit is very good for a small to moderate size room. I purchased this with a a/v receiver and the sound is very clear without excessive beaming. The price of $125.00 gave me more than I expected.

Strengths:
The price is what caught my eye but since I am a prior owner of Jensen products, I expected no less performance.

Weaknesses:
Bass (or lack of)>>Finding one setting on the receiver for the bass to get the most out of these speakers can drive you crazy.

Similar Products Used:
Jensen, Utah, Acoustic Research, RCA

Review 2 of 2

Price Paid:  $75.00 from Circuit City

Summary:
Went to purchase the JHT525 @ CC but they were sold out. They were listed at half price for $75.00 on their add. CC subsituted this set instead. Its a steal @ $75.00. The front center channel and Sub are very good quality, the front channels are good, the back channels are decent. at some point the fronts will be moved to the back when I upgrade to better fronts. I had to return the subwoofer to the store because it popped. They gave me a new one. I also purchased the extended warrany, just incase. For that price you can't beat the quality for a six piece HT system.

Strengths:
Very good front center channel and subwoofer. Good front channels.

Weaknesses:
Back channel speakers sound less impressive.

Similar Products Used:
None. New to HT.

Marantz MA-9S2 Power AmplifierThe list above has one tenet that I continue to hold true: high powered amplifiers are necessary to reproduce the full dynamic range of music with most speakers. This became apparent when I changed from the 100 Watt per channel Bella Extreme 100 to the 250 Watt.....

The unit arrived from China well packed and everything seem to be in place. No external abuse by the carriers. The only problem was the power supply it came with. The box came with a cheap step-down converter.
