Review 1 of 3

Price Paid:  $500.00 from etronics

Summary:
A great phone for minimal investment. They look great, sound wonderful, and include nice wall mount kit. For semi-serious home theater enthusiasts, the sound is wonderful. Feels like you're at the movies! Even use this system for our main stereo and sold our Sony. Use a JVC Digital Receiver, JVC Progressive Scan with DVD-Audio capability, and a Mitsubishi 65" HDTV. Things couldn't get much better!

Strengths:
Roomy sound, clear, crisp with nice depth. Nice rear and bottom mounts for stands or wall mounts.

Weaknesses:
Could use 6", but not a big deal. Might get floor speakers eventually.

Similar Products Used:
sony and jvc

Review 2 of 3

Price Paid:  $450.00 from bestpriceaudiovideo.com

Summary:
This is the second home theater speaker package Ive bought. And Im more than happy with them. We live in a small to medium sized condo so I decided to go with smaller speakers than getting towers or floor standing models. Of course if youre building a home theater, you should concider the size of your room and the money you want to spend. In a med to small room, these guys are more than enough. The timbre matched N24s are perfectly matched with the NCenter channel speaker and the 10"sub. Ive got an Onkyo 595 reciever pumping 75w per channel to these little workhorses and they sound great. You cant compare little speakers to giant floorstanding speakers but in this catagory, you cant go wrong getting these. The highs are really crisp and the mids are very warm for a 4" woofer. The Center has 5" woofers and a 1" tweeter that sound perfect for dialogue. With the sub, you can shake your floor and rattle your windows and still hear the dialogue. A must buy.

Strengths:
Small footprint, Light weight, wall mounts, great highs and mids, look cool

Weaknesses:
plastic enclosure, 86db sensitivity.

Similar Products Used:
onkyo, sony, kenwood, cerwin vega, cambridge soundworks

Review 3 of 3

Price Paid:  $480.00 from etronics

Summary:
honestly i'm not a self-claimed audiophile (there are many of these guys :-) )or professionally trained sound engineer but as a guy who just started learning a home theater system, i couldn't have asked for more for the price i paid and the satisfaction i got.

i watched many fexiest (those with many surround effects) movies like fifth element, t2 and the matrix, it does reproduce both the sounds and the imaging pretty well. feels like in the movie theater when i'm watching it with the light turned off.

in the conclusion, one's expectation is different than the other but setting up home systems has many different variable from cost to room size to the itsy-bitsy detail of speaker placement to the wiring. to a novice to intermediate audio enthusiast like me, this one is definitely a highly recommended entry level or your first home system speakers set.

Strengths:
price, quality and brandname

Weaknesses:
should have a larger main speakers (probably n26 or n28), the n24 is fine for the surround

Similar Products Used:
old kenwood stereo receiver and speakers combo

In my judgment the advantage of the MG 1.6 (and other Magneplars), stems from the following: = It is a full-range dipole, and = It has uses low-mass, planar drivers for the whole audio spectrum. These attributes account for its extraordinary clarity, coherence, “air”...
