Strength:

goodlooking, rigid, good for stereo listening, movies as front speakers

Weakness:

Could have been the best if the mids were there...

Decided to get these speakers since I have an HK AVR510 and thought that it might be good to it since they all belonged to the same maufacturer(JBL,Infinity). I had a friend help me with the setup and the 1st thing he noticed when we played STINGs " A Brand New Day " 5.1 concert DVD was" were is that bass coming from". The highs were also dominating. You can hear the blending of the acoustic and steal string guitars in Acoustic Alchemy's and Eagle's Hell Freezes over (Hotel California) DVD concert right in front of you. Movies are great too, heard star warsII,attack of the clones,Saving private Ryan, over these speakers and your in the middle of everything. The Mids were a little bit shy but the high and lows do collaborate a lot to fill this missing spot.

Strength:

These absolutely can not be beat for the price!

Weakness:

Nothing that cannot be fixed by spending another $300-400 on a larger set of sats.

I was all set to purchase an Infinity Home Theater Set marked down to $499 from $599. My den is small and because of that the salesman recommended this HK system which at first I though too small. Took a few days to get my Sony 885 receiver tweeked but now I am very happy with this setup which replaced a 10 yr old Bose Lifestyle 5 Series II system. For me, the tuning of my receiver was the key to everything sounding as it should - I am estatic for the cost and feel it was money well spent. But the bottom line, just like in engines, "there is no replacement for displacement". The small drivers, IMHO do an excellent job - but of course, larger 5-6" midranges would be better...
