These were built by Gary Lambert in Waihi, New Zealand. Unsure of actual year of manufcture but the company no longer operating since 1995/1996 approximately. Very lucky I managed to get these of a trading site.
The sound from these speakers very clear defined highs and mids, the lows are aslo exceptional and very accurate. Listening to varied types of music as I do from Rock, blues and pop they perform extremely well, strings are tight and as are vocals, Drums and bass are very good and fairly accurate but not to deep or thumpy. Imagery and soundstage are key areas that appeal and these helped create the feeling, also are bi wireable. Amp used Nad C326BEE and Marantz CD6003 Cd player which really put these old girls to work and proved they are very good performing speakers after all these years.
The look of these speakers are beautiful, I think the ones I have are a Rimu wood veneer finish but these speakers themselves have a timeless look about them and sound.
One day they may become rare as the maker of the Lambert Audio speakers no longer operates as the bussiness shut down in the 90's, word is he works with another company overseas.
For me they are keepers, overall they are great and have no intentions of letting them go.
