Summary: These babies push out a massive bass that will get your heart pumping to 180bmp as it pushes through you. Great speakers, use with the grill off, they look classy. Twin bass units on each speaker can sometimes strangle the high notes, but hey, the neighbours seemed to hear it all very clearly and these speakers reward rock, rave and techno listeners.
Strengths: Rave strength bass output that leaves you breathless. Very powerful, use a big amp. Cheap to pick up now as they are old stock.
Weaknesses: You may want to match some surround sound tweeter output speakers to compliment the rich, deep bouncing bass.

Summary: When I first saw these speakers I knew they were the ones for me. I saw them on a web offer so bought them on looks alone!
they look awesome! and sound it as well! I hooked them up to one of my amps and turned it up, but it wasnt powerful enough so I had to get my other one! These are very powerful speakers. They do go very loud, and then want to go louder!
they are an excellent speaker, alouth there is a slight lack of midrange, but the bass is all there as my neighbours will tell you! If you are considering buying a pair-go and get them!!
Strengths: Superb bass, VERY loud, good build
Weaknesses: You need a powerful amp!
Similar Products Used: Nothing is as good as these!

Summary: Won these at Ubid and bought 4 at $55/ piece instead of the comparable 250W max JBL ND310. I use them in my home theatre system for the 2 front and 2 Rear surrounds w/ my the Valdus center for my rear/center surround (6.1) and JBL N-center front/center, and SONY WMA40 wooferBOX. They're driven by my Pioneer VSX850 6.1ch 6x110 rcvr connected by Monster XP spkr wires. They sound great at all levels especially high, no distortion AT ALL whatsoever! Watching LORD oF THE RINGS thru them is FREAKIN' excellent! At prolonged high volumes my recvr shuts them down for about 2 secs - probably due to the overload protection advertised on the Wharfedale site (I tend to get carried away sometimes.? I paid 1/2 the price for 4 speakers compared to the PAIR of JBL ND310's I did want w/ the exact same max power rating - 250W peak. CANNOT beat them for the price.
Strengths: EXCELLENT SOUND FOR THE PRICE! good bass, (although you WILL need a subwoofer box), great highs and mids. I push them hard almost nightly and cannot complain.
Weaknesses: Overload protection causes shutdown after prolonged use at high volumes. Although the volumes are below advertised nominal rating of 150W.
Similar Products Used: SONY 150W floor speakers.

it''s very old speaker (1996+).
but it''s works very well!
i really don''t know why people say that the MiD has lack of power...
the should have good reciever.

Summary: good for both Home Theater and Music, nice imaging, good overall sound, still need a subs with a crossover set at about 50hz, because they distort at very low frequencies (only when u really pump it, and i mean pump it!)
I havent heard better in the price range.
If ur serious buy a sub or build your own.
Strengths: Brilliant tweeter, Tight Base. Very good drivers
Weaknesses: Crappy grill, impossible to remove easily (same for all of the valdus range) looks cheap, but looks are deceaving
Similar Products Used: db dynamics, there same price but have no base, and tooo much mids, they're teryble for stereo
