Review 1 of 6

Price Paid:  $128.00 from Audiogon.com

Summary:
These speakers are very clean and deliver crisp, accurate highs. I have only owned them for a week but I love them! They can reproduce lower frequencies but they do not shake the room like many american speakers can. I would recommend a good subwoofer with these speakers. They are short towers so when placed on the ground they are nowhere near ear level.

Strengths:
Detailed highs. More than capable of reproducing fine music.

Weaknesses:
Short tower speakers. Need stands to bring them up to ear level. Midbass does not get loud. Not for the rock n roll or rap listener.

Review 2 of 6

Price Paid:  $350.00 from Local retailer

Summary:
An amazing sound produced by very low quality parts. This proves that the quality of the parts has little to do with what is reproduced. the design is different to say the least, A very large internal volume for such a small driver seems strange. The sound is very smooth but becomes harsh at high frequency's. Base response is amazing cosidering the driver size! Ported to improve efficiency (I dread how inefficent they would be unported!) You need an amp that has reasonable power 60w+ real and if you really crank it up you will damage the drives. That said drives cost <$20 USD so its not a big deal if you burst one.

Vastly superior to other 2 way low cost speakers that I have tried!

Strengths:
Very good dynamics, using a small ~5 inch drive gives good sound due to low cone mass. Bi wireable and sand filling are often not found in this price range. Proof that the design of the exclosure/speaker/crossover are critical. The components used are truely marginal but the sum of this is a sound quality VASTLY exceeding the items used to produce it. This does mean that replacement drives are very cheap.
I would buy another set if I ever see!

Weaknesses:
Very inefficent, upon disassemble of a speaker they are of very poor construction and use component operating at the limits of design.

Similar Products Used:
Misc, none that grabed my attention

Review 3 of 6

Summary:
Traded in for Modus 8's, but what I wanted to say is bi-wiring and filling the lower cabinet with sand, as Wharfedale suggests, is a good idea. The bass and efficiency improve this way.

Strengths:
In addition to earlier review

Review 4 of 6

Summary:
A clear, smooth sounding speaker for nearly any music taste. Impresive low bass response from such a small woofer. The only bad thing is that I need to use my 180 watt per channel Pioneer SX-1280 receiver to drive these speakers to realistic (concert) listning levels.

Strengths:
Clean Sound, Good Imaging

Weaknesses:
inefficient for its size

Review 5 of 6

Summary:
I have been listening to these speakers for over a year and
these are truly a clean sounding speaker. The speakers are a pleasure to listen to. The bass response is ok, they don't shake the room, so a sub would be helpful. I compared them to the infinity sm105 and the sm105 had better bass but the rest of the sound was not as good. I took the 7.3 over the sm105. I also compared them to the Kef coda7 and the sound was comparable, the bass was better on the 7.3. I kept both. You couldn't go wrong with these speakers. I just upgraded my speakers to the wharedale modus 1.6, and I am still going to keep the 7.3 for my other stereo system.

Strengths:
Tonal Balance, accurate sound reproduction.

Weaknesses:
None for the price. There are a little inefficient, but a goood amp will drive them just fine.

Similar Products Used:
Kef coda 7, infinity sm105
