I''ve been living with these, yes, "monoliths" for a few months now and thought I''d try to find some information about Vo online, and that lead me to this site. And ONLY this site! The reviews below perfectly speak my mind as well. These speakers are perhaps the best any reasonable amount of money can buy! The bass is the most impressive characteristic at first, it''s subwoofer low and loud, but free of any boomyness or ''speed'' issues. The upper range is as close to perfect as I''ve ever heard, and with the new SACD player I''ve bought I think I''ve reached a whole new level of musical enjoyment that I never thought was possible. Please pardon my run-on sentences, but these speakers are without a doubt the best I''ve ever heard. They also look as expensive as they are, which is not something I can say for a lot of speakers out there. Does anyone know if they have a website?

Strengths:
Deep, well defined bass, rhythmic pace, and I can''t forget the "Glossy Blue Depth" finish.

Weaknesses:
Very expensive, very large, and power hungry.

Summary:
This is perhaps the most flawless speaker I have ever encountered. I bought a slightly used navy blue pair for just under $10,000. Apparently a good deal since they sell for about 15k new and these were just a few months old.

They're absolutely huge and require gobs of power, I have mine bi-amped with spectacular (new) Bryston 14B ST's. I'm in sonic heaven with these things. My old B&W Matrix 801's used to please me so much, I never thought I wan't anything more. I'm so glad I happened upon these while checking out the newer B&W and Dunlavy offerings.

Why aren't Vo Patru's listed in Stereophiles reccommended components? They're definitely some of the best speakers I've heard in my life.

Strengths:
The tight, musical, and powerful BASS from the 14-inch LF drivers! Not to mention the silky, liquid top end. They're gorgeous too.

Weaknesses:
The price. They're good, but $10,000 good? USED? . . . Well, in a word, yes! But that's still a lot of my money.

These things are the BEST! I'm only 15, but I heard these at a shop and was totally floored! Louder than hell and enough bass to kill you!
They look cool to. The ones at the store were huge navy blue ones, way taller than me! They cost alot of money but I'd buy them if I could. These speakers make me want to be an audiophile!

Strengths:
Everything!

Weaknesses:
They cost as much as a truck, and there about the same size!

I can't see why anyone would spend Honda Civic-type cash on one pair of speakers, but if I could . . .
I just listened to these, I certainly don't own them - WAY out of my price range. The bass is the real strong suit of these monoliths! Louder, lower and more accurate than ANYTHING I've ever heard before. The midrange is sweet perfection, and the highs are perfect (just like my cheaper Achamadden 9.1's). Vö makes some of the best speakers out there - how come I never see anything online about them?
Seriously, if you've got this kind of cash - BUY THESE SPEAKERS! I'm sure they'll floor the competition (Nautilus, DAL, Wilson??).

Strengths:
Everything! Powered subwoofer goes well below 20Hz. They look like fine art

The Price - $18,000 CND!?!?

Summary:
My uncle mailordered these babies from the company for $15,000. They look like humongous black monoliths! I think they're a 4 way design. They have a built in 500W 14" subwoofer, a 7.25" mid an aluminium and ribbon tweeter. I'm not sure if the rest of the speaker is powered or not, but they sure pump out a lot of volume {and quality volume at that - which is kind of rare} with the Krell amps he uses!He likes to blare orchestral and chamber music and these make it sound like your right in the middle of a concert! They were also amazing with the rock and alternative stuff I listen to! No distortion at all, and it was Loud!!
My uncle got the deep black piano finish, beautiful. Picture a rounded black mirror that towers at almost 5.5'. They look like marble pillars.

My uncle also got a catalogue with them - these are the nicest looking speakers they make - I think the Achammaden 9.1's are hideous! And the 6.1's look like B&W's.
