Price Paid:  $19000.00 from Audio Connection

Summary:
This is the most complete speaker I've yet to hear. It does everything extraordinary well, from the lowest building rattling bass drum whacks, to the delicate trinangle "ting" clearly coming through the whole orchestra playing at their most earnest. This speaker is terribly revealing about all of your upstream components are doing - they must be the highest calibre. I have the Kawazinga wood option - expensive, but drop dead gorgeous. It's design frees up the work that one's amp has to do, and makes it sound better and stronger.

Strengths:
Frequency Response

Clarity

Dynamic Shaddings

Looks

Weaknesses:
You must have the best ancillary gear or you will hear the warts

Similar Products Used:
B&W 800D, Avalon Diamonds, Wilson Watt/Puppies

Price Paid:  $20000.00 from Audio Connection

Summary:
This is the most complete speaker I've ever come across. It does everything - and everything exceptionally well. I have the Kawazinga finish, and although it's thousands of dollars extra, it is drop dead gorgeous. After proper setup, each recording sounds like a completely different stereo system. It plays exactly what the producer had in mind. It is extremely revealing. Lows are powerful when recorded and absent when not. The sound is just there. I don't detect a unified coloration. My last speakers were B&W 802's - the Vandersteens are in a totally different realm. Soloists are suspended right there between the 2 speakers..their voice is not the width of the stage, but completely natural. When recorded, depth and air permeate the venue. I am a professional violinist, and this speaker well - this speaker sounds like music.

Strengths:
a complete speaker - very wide dynamic range - exceedingly fast - a winner on all counts. You MUST have the proper ancillary equimpent, or the flaws will clearly show.

Weaknesses:
..even the price at this lofty sum seems reasonable
