smooth as silk, well the tweeter dome is made of silk! Apart from an upper bass hump, and a huge dive down at 50Hz (which is probably a room artefact) they voice very well. Maybe a little less sparkle than I would want, but with a little adjust with the tone controls, a little more treble, a little less bass, and in my room they sound wonderful, especially on classical music, which needs a stable sound stage.

Other equipment includes two stereo amplifiers (Cambridge Audio 640Av2), each one feeds one 'speaker, so the bass/midrange has a channel to itself, as does each tweeter. Sounds slightly clearer like this.
