Summary:
As the creator of these speakers, I would tend to take excessive pride in their performance, but to give you an accurate idea of my first loudspeaker. The C1's are called "Macro-Monitors" because their construction gives an appearance between towers and monitors. The C1's provide excellent resolution at all volume levels, but the tweeter tends to be a touch harsh with some very-dynamic material. Bass is controlled and relatively clean, but lacks in ultra-huge output (it uses one 12 inch in a acoustic-suspension). Midrange has lots of feel and air. The frequency response of the C1's are quite smooth, with slight bumps in the 250-300Hz and 2-3kHz ranges (but nothing very noticable, and certainly not too objectionable). Overall, I am impressed with these speakers. They hold their own (and better) against most speakers in their price range, and can be compared to speakers like the Von Schweikert 4.5's, Theil CS6's, B&W's 802, and the Wilson Watt/Puppy's. Hopefully, I will be able to post a picture here, and get a web site going soon. Anyone wishing further information can drop an e-mail Ryan Malcolm

(I only give my speakers 4 stars becase my next models give much higher potential, and there are other loudspeakers that have some better qualities (Von Schweikert 6, Wilson Slamm)

Moscode 402Au OLT stereo power amplifier Review

George is adamant about the fact that the Moscode 402Au is not just a tube gain stage slapped onto a solid-state power amplifier; rather, it is a tube amplifier with a MOSFET output stage.

Lowther’s DX-65 driver in the Teresonic Magus XR Review

A new driver from Lowther is real news. A new five inch driver is even rarer news, so it was with great anticipation that I waited on this pair of speakers to arrive.

Aune Mini Headphone DAC User Review

The unit arrived from China well packed and everything seem to be in place. No external abuse by the carriers. The only problem was the power supply it came with. The box came with a cheap step-down converter.
