Price Paid:  $110.00 from Marine Corps Exchang

Summary:
I have owned a pair of these speakers for 6 years and just sold them the other day. I pushed them with a 100W x 5 Technics SA-DX940 receiver. They sound Ok but have weak bass.

I just replaced them with a massive pair of Cerwin Vega VS-150's. These are monster 3 way floor speakers with a 15" woofer and 400W rating. There is simply no comparison. My Cerwin Vegas totally dwarf these Technics speakers and the sound difference between the two is rediculous. The Technics speakers weight maybe 20lbs each. My Vegas 90 lbs each.

Even with the same Technics 100W x 5 receiver , I can bring the f@#$kin house down with the volume knob barely at the 10 O'Clock position with the Vegas. The bass is insane.

If you like hard bass, look elsewhere. These speakers won't put out decent bass.

Strengths:
Clean sound.

Weaknesses:
Weak bass. Small, light, puny cabinets. Size does matter.

Review 2 of 2

Price Paid:  $250.00

Summary:
Do not let size deceive you. This are rather big loudspeaker but sound doesnt come out like what you think you see. I do NOT recommend them for anything like casual listening, since they clip at not so high amplification and sound very hallow. Highs are too much bright that hurts your ears. Mids are non existent and lows are just there as long as you dont drive them to loud. Dont expect miracles from a chinese built speaker, even if its back upped by a Technics/Panasonic brand.

Strengths:
Cheap Low frequency only when not highly driven

Weaknesses:
Very bright highs (superficial) Non existent mids More of a "looking" than a sounding speaker. Cheap materials.
