Review 1 of 1 Summary: This is the only Sound Dynamics product I have bought that didn't satisfy. Got them for $200 ($300 list) as surrounds to compliment my SD RTS-P100s and RTS-C2 center channel. Great dispersion, with 2 side-firing tweeters and good highs. But that's as far as it goes. Poor midrange, little warmth.
Replace them with RTS-C3s (see review) and NOW I'm satisfied.
If you have an acoustically dead room, and you only listen to surround in movies, these speakers could be an acceptable choice. They defintely perform on high end. But RTS-3s are much more musical, with far superior midrange and bass.
Not a bad speaker, just not as good as the rest of the Sound Dynamics line. Strengths: Wide dispersion, good high end Weaknesses: Bright and thin Similar Products Used: Sound Dynamics RS-3s, Boston Acoustic A60s
