Review NaN of , from Columbus,OH USA

Summary:
I pretty much agree with what others have said here with a couple of additions.

When played VERY LOUD, it sounds crowded, like there isn't enough room to get all of the sound out of the box. I generally don't play things VERY LOUD very often, so it's not an issue to me.

With lesser gear, they can sound bright.

Overall, this is an excellent product, and on the used market, it's a steal!

Strengths:
Clean from top to bottom.

Weaknesses:
Midrange slightly soft. It can be a challenge to find the right cables and upstream electronics.

Strengths:
smooth sound for music and movies

Weaknesses:
no longer made

Review NaN of , from Goffstown, NH, USA

Summary:
A very smooth accurate speaker. Remarkable bottom end for such a simple speaker. Live jazz recording come too life.

Strengths:
A sweet sounding speaker. The soundstage blows me away. Sounds wonderful with Jazz and vocals. Can also rock and works great with my home theater system. Cabinetry is like fine furniture.

Weaknesses:
For the money, I can't mention any although the dealer networks is rather limited.

Similar Products Used:
Well, I have two pairs of these speakers, one in my home theater setup augmented with a Snell K/III's and Snell M's.

Summary:
I've owned the E IV for two years now and to my ears they are quite transparent and a joy to listen to. Jazz, rock, classical, R&B all kinds of music will sound quite nice too. I use to have the type J IV and they were also great. I've listened to all kinds of speakers with all kinds of equipment and all kinds of music, any Snell in your price range will make you happy, music wise at least. Now if I could only afford the type C's.............................

Review NaN of

Summary:
After listening to the popular choices from NHT, B&W, Energy,
Paradigm among others these were an easy choice.
Perhaps not as ultimately revealing as some they have an inherent
rightness to them that the others lacked. The only other
speaker I thought was more musical was from Magnepan but wasn't practical.
Aside from the sound their cabinetry is first rate. These models however have been discontinued although some dealers still might have some. The new models are post Kevin Voecks and have a totally different sound. Five stars
considering they only retail for $1100.
