Strengths:    None

Weaknesses:    Weakness - Lacks Everything you expect from a Subwoofer in the way of sound.

Bottom Line:
I bought this subwoofer because I got such a good deal on the rest of my equipment and remember Sherwood from way back especially their stereos. This unit is very poor. I had to put my ear next to it to see if it was playing. No Umph at all. Could not differentiate from my main speakers even at max volume on sub and receiver. I am going to hook this to my old stereo in the garage and use it to collect dust and find a decent Subwoofer.

Weaknesses:    lousy...

Bottom Line:
This unit has no balls...at the highest point of volume you can hardly hear bass...I ended up hooking up a second sub just to get some of what I thought I was paying for. I bought the surround sound speakers that go with this which also were lousy...luckily I bought them at auction dirt cheap $50.00 including shipping...I guess you get what you pay for! But you can get much better KLH and Sony speakers at Best Buy for about the same price.

Bottom Line:
When i initially bought this Subwoofer as Sherwood calls it, i was not thinking too highly of it since i was paying only about 150 dollars Canadian, which roughly equates to about 100 american dollars. It has a built in 50 watt amp, and has a 6.5 inch woofer. It has a built in cross over so i couldnt adjust it to my liking. Since the sub was so cheap i didnt expect much of it. The original cost of the sub was 250 dollars so paying one quarter of the original cost didnt annoy me too much. Little did i know that this was a rather good deal. The sound coming from the sub was much like the shitty bose "BASS MODULE" paying 150 bux for a sub that sounds like a bose sub is justified, whereas paying 10-15 times that amount is just plain retarted. This sub is a really good deal for 33 dollars. So if any of you see it within that price vicinity, i would immediately buy it.
