Bottom Line:
This speaker system is quite amazing. The soundstage is enormous. The woofers cones are paper with a treated foam surround. The speakers were purchased in 1983 and there are no signs of woofer surround fatigue. The 10 passive radiator surrounds have been replaced. The system consists of a 2 1/2 in tweeter (ferro fluid cooled) with an acoustical lens, an 8 in woofer, and a 10 in passive radiator. The speakers are rated at 80 wpc continuous. I have a set of klipsch KG 4.2 and the Realistic speakers have a smoother, fuller, richer sound. They also produce more bass. The cabinets and crossover unit does not compare to the klipsch, but if you listen to the two you would not believe the difference. I run a Denon receiver to power the speakers. If you have a chance to listen or even purchase a good set of the T-110 you will not regret it. Realistic did a very good job on these.
