Review 1 of 3

Price Paid:  $0.00 from online

Summary:
I purchased these speakers almost 2 years ago. I first read about these speakers online while I was researching new speakers for my home theater setup. I ended up purchasing these speakers sight unseen as I could not find a dealer in the entire DFW metroplex that even carried the signiture series. I could not have been happier. These speakers sound great!! The sound seperation, richness, depth and clarity is breathtaking. Friends have come over and commented on how good these speakers really sound. Listening to The Eagles, Hell Freezes Over DVD on DTS tells the whole story. Sit back, close your eyes and you will believe that you are there onstage. Not only do you hear the richness and depth of the music, but you will feel it as well. I have listened to Infinity, Bose, Monitor Audio, Polk, Kenwood, and Pioneer speakers before and since I have purchased these RBH speakers and they just do not compare. Speaker setup: Front: RBH 1044SE Center: RBH 441SE Rear: RBH 61SE Sub: RBH 1010 SEP Cables: BetterCables.com premium speaker wire

Strengths:
richness, depth, clarity

Weaknesses:
none

Similar Products Used:

Review 2 of 3

Price Paid:  $550.00 from web

Summary:
This review is for the 661-SE. I have been overwhelmed by how clear and crisp this speaker sounds. It has wonderful, effortless power and seperation of instruments. It is a must for anyone looking at new speakers that one gives the RBH line a listen. It was by accident that i got the chance to hear these. at a home show, I heard some very nice sounding jazz playing a few isles over and at first i thought it was live, so I went over to have a look. To my surprise it was a recording coming from IN-WALL speakers which were set up in a movable frame, 4X4 studs and drywall! Mysterious to me at the time were these RBH speakers I'd never heard of, made in Utah of all places. I was in the market, so I decided to have a listen in the store. they sounded even better. Now that i have three 661s; center lt. and rt. and 66s in the rear, I can say that i am 100% convinced that i made the right choice. See the current Stereophile Guide to H Theater (Oct. 2002) and you will see what I'm talking about.

Strengths:
Clear pure sound from a substantial speaker. Seperation of intruments and voices all over the room sometimes. I am ecstatic about these fine speakers. RBH staff are easy to reach, intelligent, friendly and always helpful. Too many good things to say.

Weaknesses:
None at all.

Similar Products Used:
JBLs, Infinity, Bose (boo), Paradigms. Acurus, Parasound, B&K

Review 3 of 3

Summary:
Unbelievable center channel speaker. Warm, yet crisp. Great high end speaker without high end price. If you are looking for a speaker setup that is under $5000, RBH is the way to go. SE series mains also used. 44-SE in rear. Well balanced system, no ear fatigue after several hours of listening.

Strengths:
Great value for real American quality made speaker.

Weaknesses:
None I've found.

In my judgment the advantage of the MG 1.6 (and other Magneplars), stems from the following: = It is a full-range dipole, and = It has uses low-mass, planar drivers for the whole audio spectrum. These attributes account for its extraordinary clarity, coherence, “air”...
