Review 1 of 5

Price Paid:  $160.00 from Good Guys

Summary:
I bought these speakers because they were on sale and was told by someone that they sound okay. At the store the speakers sounded good and when I got home they sounded even better. I have them on a receiver that pushes 125 watts into each channel. The bass is good and the mids and highs are also good. Everyone says they are cheap and dont sound good. Well I have to dispute, these speakers sound very good for their price.

Strengths:
Good bass, good mids, and good highs

Weaknesses:
none

Similar Products Used:
Pioneer PL-530 turntable, Pioneer CD changer, Pioneer tape Player, and Sansui receiver

Review 2 of 5

Price Paid:  $30.00 from ubid.com

Summary:
I really don't know why people are having so much problem with these speakers. I got mine off of ubid.com and they even came in both cracked. Maybe the others just didn't have good amps, etc. but I know that mine have a LOT of power even when just fed about 40w each. When you push 80w it becomes incredibly loud and maintains a good sound.

Strengths:
Midrange is excellent, drives well.

Weaknesses:
Low-end bass is a little low, high-end treble is lacking

Similar Products Used:
2xKicker CompVR 12" 12" Solo-Baric

Review 3 of 5

Price Paid:  $200.00 from used

Summary:
They obviously aren't the most expensive or highest quality thing out there.

Strengths:
Cheap

Weaknesses:
Midrange is weak, have to turn down bass or (in my case) add 2 more mids.

Review 4 of 5

Price Paid:  $100.00 from circuit city

Summary:
I should have known. I bought these speakers for my parents, who do not know much or care much about sound. I tried to help them get a cheap speaker that would perform adequately. These speakers are the biggest pieces of junk I have heard. No bass, harsh highs, dull midrange. Next time, I will spend a little more and get something better

Strengths:
nothing

Weaknesses:
all (see summary)

Review 5 of 5

Summary:
I purchased these speakers at circuit city for $100 for both, they are the worst speakers i have ever owned, they sound horrible and are very weak. I run the off of a Technics reciever pushing 100 watts into each of them. I recomend you save your money for something ALOT better than these piece of crap speakers.

Strengths:
None

Weaknesses:
Paper woofers, Paper Tweeters, Poor Highs, Horrible Lows

Similar Products Used:
nothing crappy enough

A new driver from Lowther is real news. A new five inch driver is even rarer news, so it was with great anticipation that I waited on this pair of speakers to arrive.

Aune Mini Headphone DAC User Review

The unit arrived from China well packed and everything seem to be in place. No external abuse by the carriers. The only problem was the power supply it came with. The box came with a cheap step-down converter.
