Bottom Line: These are excellent speakers, sound is crystal clear, bright and pleasant to listen. Treble is enjoyable, sweet. This review is about the Phantom V3 towers.
The cabinets are not made of wood but as far as sound is concerned, they are awesome. Compared with JBM and Def Tech towers, I enjoy to listening to these most.
These have a ton of bass.

Bottom Line: Hands down the best speaker for the money. Compare them to Klipsch, Boston Accoustics, Accoustic Research, Polk Audio, and the way over priced Infinity and you will wonder why on gods green earth you would spend more for less quality. These Canadian made gems are made in one facility from start to finish. Most speakers are built in piecies at different facilities and then put together.
These speakers achieve more life-like sound because of their flat range. You will never here to much bass to treble or vice-versa. Plus the mids even blend seamlessly with the highs and lows. Play jazz on these speakers and you will get the chills. A good reciever is also essential. Marantz is probably the best equipment to go with these speakers (for the money of course). Denon is not bad, especially if you can find a good deal on the web. i did. I got the 1801 model. that was selling at the stores for $500 for only $260. Unfortunately you can't get those kind of deals with Marantz, but they make better equipment and if you have the money go for it.
If you want to take a small step up from Paradigm and willing to spend a little more money I reccommend Energy. Another great Canadian company. They are priced at the Infinity level; however, Infinity is not even as good as Paradigm so just image how much Energy blows Infinity away, and for the same money. Go figure.
In the final analysis, go to a specialty store that carries Paradigm speakers and you will be in the presence of quality and value minded people. Palmer Audio in Allentown, PA is the best audio store I've ever seen. Can't beat the prices for the quality you get. They are very honest and knowledgable.
For $400 they are the best man can buy.

Bottom Line: I bought these speakers a few weaks ago because my brother rocomended them to me. He owns a pair of Titans, which he likes alot, although he wants to "upgrade" to the monitor line. I was impressed with the Titans and know I'm impressed with the Phantoms. The high end sound is really detailed and sounds great. Mid range bass is excellent too. I've listened to some cds, watched various movies and played Halo extensivly and everything sound great. The phantoms don't pick up super low bass very well, but with a sub they should sound sweet. I didn't expect the bass to be that low anyways because they only have 6-1/2 inch woofers. One small problem with them is on some movies, like Lord of the rings, I heard some small poping sounds breifly. This is only during one or two scenes with very loud, low, rumbling bass and it's very brief. Besides that, the sound is amazing. The grills come off now on the version 3's so that good.
