Summary:
These speakers need room! Not are they physically big but also sonically they need room to breathe. Weighing in at 68kg for the main speaker and 45kg for the bass and 1160cm high for the main and 770cm for the bass. The 100-200 hours of running in time as indicated in the instruction booklet and in discussions with Osborn is very true. As my set approaches the 110 hours of playing they are coming alive with clarity and unsurpassed natuaral sound. Initially they sounded tight and the bass was a little overwhelming but it has now settled into giving a solid sound giving all songs a real depth one usually only hears during a live concert. One point of note is the detail exposed in recordings through the speakers, from the smallest hi-hat to a triangle playing in the rear of an orchestra, its all there. The Epitome mk V1 need to be 1 metre from all walls in order to maximise the depth and soundstage but once these 'big guys' are up and running any listener will be very pleased for a long time.
Finished in Australian Jarrah wood, which in itself is a very heavy wood, and made to exacting standards I would recommend these speakers to anyone who can access them. Well worth the effort.

Strengths:
Very clear and natural, detailed sound.

Weaknesses:
Exposes poorly recorded CD's for what they are.
