Bottom Line: I had a pair of Ohm C-2's that I bought in Maryland in 1985. They were worn out, and I hated to give them up. Was surprised to find Ohm Speakers on the internet. Even more surprised to see that they still supported those old speakers! (My youngest son now owns the C-2's, and has put new speakers in the cabinets. Loves them! He also received great support from the guys at Ohm.)
I talked to Jay, and he recommended the Sat-3's based upon present room size and my future plans to live full-time in an RV. So, I bought two SAT-3's with the SB-1 Sub.
They arrived one week later, TRIPLE boxed, and in perfect condition (to my eye.) My wife found a minor cosmetic flaw two days later and Jay shipped a replacement pronto, no discussion. The sound is incredible! I use them for home theatre and music, and they do both very well. I liked them so much I bought two more for the rear channels, and added the center channel recently. John told me I could spend less on the rears, but I'm glad I spent the extra. If you've not heard your music on five SAT-3's, you are missing something. Fantastic. The Streisand concert 2000 actually comes alive on my system.
Placement is important, take note of the suggestions that Ohm sends with every speaker. The speakers do love power. My Onkyo TX-DS939 delivers 100 watts X 5, and 200 would be better. I'm looking at some of Bob Carver's amps.
The entire experience with Ohm has been great! Fast delivery, good dialogue, "sound" recommendations from honest guys. John and Jay are both knowledgeable and very helpful. Most strongly recommended!

Bottom Line: Went to Circuit City to look at center channel speakers. Looked at a $400 Polk, or something. Told the sales person the price needed to be lowered because Ohm's center was the same price. The sales persons response? Buy the Ohm's.
Excellent HT set up. Ohm clad the Sat3 in walnut, no charge.
Wanted the center channel to match the Ohm I speakers that flank the entertainment center. In the back of the room are Sat 1 speakers and the SB1a subwoofer. System subwoofer is the Velodyne CT120.
You want to hear Ohm HT at it's best? Play "seven bridges road" in DTS.
