Review NaN of

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
I've heard these speakers on many occasions, and have to say that for the price, the sound quality is OK. For the same money you could easily get a good set of Infinity's, Klipsch, or Axiom's.

I don't find them to be especially musical, but they are very good for home theatre.

They can take a pounding, but I find that the treble becomes very distorted at high volume. But still... hooked up to good components, these speakers perform pretty well.

Strengths:
Warranty.

Weaknesses:
Can find much better speakers for about the same price.

Similar Products Used:
Camber, Axiom, NHT, Infinity, Klipsch.

Summary:
i can't see why people are so complaining these speaker. they have a very nice sound that could be compared to other more expensive speaker. i bought them 2 weeks ago at my local store(stereo plus) and im just please with them. i think that nuance is underestimated. i did not see there other product but the star 1 is exellent for the price.

Strengths:
Nice Overall sound, very clear

Weaknesses:
Lack a bit of bass for my taste

Review NaN of

Price Paid:  $800.00 from Int.Stereo, Edmonton

Summary:
Listened to their "special" cds and brought in my own, the speakers sounded very good. Got the mains and center for $800. They still sounded good when I got home. The bass response is excellent for their size and I like the 3D soundstage effects(the sound relly does surround you with some cds). With volume up the highs are clear and not too harsh.
But I have had to take them in a few times to replace some parts.
The salespeople and their tactics, and the "discount" pricing are serious drawbacks and I would say that there good enough reasons not to purchase, but I have meet pushy a**holes at big box electronics stores and at elite "know-it-all so I can treat you like dirt" small audio/video specialist stores too.
So I have been generally happy with the sound quality of the S1s and have listened to other speakers in the same price range(JBL,Infinity,Polk) that didn't sound any better.

Strengths:
Clear highs
Solid bass
3D soundstage

Weaknesses:
Reliability of some parts(main drivers)
Salespeople

Similar Products Used:
Listend to other speakers in same price range and didn't hear significant difference.

Review NaN of , from toronto

Price Paid:  $350.00

Summary:
bottom line is i got suckered in with slick salesmen. i even went to the extent to compare them to a smaller pair of missions and i guess my ears were fooled 'cuz i still bought the nuance's...i even went out and bought the Chesky's Jazz cd to compare that indian dance song on different speakers and found that it was recreated on other speakers as well...i shoulda just stuck with the smaller missions but for 350 cdn. i can't really complain that much 'cept that i have had to bring them in about 3 times so far to no avail. ... they keep breakin' down!! if i ever see them again in a store i'll rip a new a-hole into the first salesrep that approaches me with the famous "spatial speel" for sure!!!

Strengths:
warranty

Weaknesses:
they breakdown often

Similar Products Used:
mission
