Strength:

Bass, treble, mid-range, Midbass. The anthracite finish is beautiful and matches my Elite racks and Sony big screen.

Weakness:

Could be a little taller, but hey, I like big speakers.

Holy Moley do these things smoke my old VT-2s. More detail and a much broader soundstage. The sound just fills the space as opposed to sounding like it is coming from the middle area. Well constructed and absolutely gorgeous.

Strength:

Balanced neutral sounding excellent detail mids and bass extension.

Weakness:

Large speaker may look inapprorptiate in small room

I have always had and loved NHT speakers. They have always been very true to timbre, neutral with excellent detail and low-end. An excellent allround speaker with no specific weakness. I purchased my T6 (selling my 2.9's) and immidately out of the box noticed an improved soundstage with incredible detail and instruments exactly were they ought to be. The bass was extremely tight and extended the mids were tight with drums sounding close to live and best of all the whole speaker was very balanced and neutral nothing was disproportionate and no ear wear what so ever could listen to all day. To boot these are very beautiful speakers and I would always have visitiors inquiring about them

Weakness:

Damn lucky I don't have a wife. That finish isn't for everybody and it's the only choice.

Have always been fond of NHT's value for the dollar, but these things blew my mind when I heard them. I've heard speakers that were twice as much money that weren't as detailed and open as these - or if they were, they were way too analytical. The room optimazation ability was nice, but I wound up positioning them by ear and leaving that feature alone. I've owned a ton of high end speakers, and these really have been the easiest to live with. Break-in took a while, but after leaving them on all weekend, most of it was accomplished. I found image depth and heighth to be a rare treat. First speaker under 10k I've ever owned that reproduced acurate image heighth without having to toe them up. Anyhow...highly recommended....oh, but use a nice solid amp. Underpower these and they won't sound 1/2 as nice.
