Price Paid:  $1400.00

Summary:
The Neat petite III is really something special,it may not be much too look at,but the sound grabs your attention and holds you there with is stunning pace, rythem and timming,if you like a warm, cuddly sound, with deep rich bass this is not the speaker for you.

The Speakers were used with the superb Sonnetter Campion integrated amp and Byron Cd player, all cables were from the Chord Company. The speakers need to be placed quite close to the rear wall, the speakers are rear ported, and don't take any great real estate of your room.Sturdy stands are needed.

The speaker sound more like a monitor than a hifi speaker,it's fast and very revealing, the tweeter is a touch bright, but never offensive or harsh, just alot of detail reaches youur ears,The speaker too many will appear very bass light, true it doesn't go down deep, but what it does have is control and a fast,rhytmic,foot-tapping bass quality,it certainly wont rattle the windows or shake your sofa.

The midrange expresses vocals wonderfully with realism, and stunning presence,it integrated very well with the treble unit,as I said it's not a hifi speaker that sets out to impress with a huge soundstage or depth,it's a speaker that communicates the musical message without showing off.

Strengths:
Pace,rythem and timing

Weaknesses:
lacks bass.

Review 2 of 2

Summary:
I bought the Neat Petite to replace large floor-standing B&W DM16 speakers, never thinking I'd get that big, warm British sound from tiny bookshelf speakers.

In fact the sound is far far far better -- warm but super-accurate, with tons of bass and the sweetest treble; great for rock but wonderful too for large orchestras, sopranos, piano -- everything!

The price is daunting but after auditioning more than a dozen other small speakers, this was the only only make which offered the quality I sought.

Strengths:
sensational sound from a little box

Weaknesses:
price!

Moscode 402Au OLT stereo power amplifier Review

George is adamant about the fact that the Moscode 402Au is not just a tube gain stage slapped onto a solid-state power amplifier; rather, it is a tube amplifier with a MOSFET output stage.

Lowther’s DX-65 driver in the Teresonic Magus XR Review

A new driver from Lowther is real news. A new five inch driver is even rarer news, so it was with great anticipation that I waited on this pair of speakers to arrive.

Aune Mini Headphone DAC User Review

The unit arrived from China well packed and everything seem to be in place. No external abuse by the carriers. The only problem was the power supply it came with. The box came with a cheap step-down converter.
