Strengths: Fast response. very clean treble and extended bass. Good efficiency and although rated at 150w will sound loud with a quality 30w plus amplifier
Not over sensitive to positioning.Weaknesses: Can sound a bit cold and clinical so pay attention to other parts of system and listening room furnishing so as not to compount this tendency. Likes class a equipnent.Bottom Line: An acceptably sized true monitoring speaker with fast response and amazing clarity. Deep bass extension with little overhang. Superbly clean and extended treble. Handles high volumes gracefully but remains clean at low listening levels. Punishing to poorly engineered recordings but revealing a real ambience with the best recordings even older ones. Good on pop. Superb on jazz. Amazing on chamber and orchestral. Excellent for opera and organ music.
Well worh the current full market price.(£2200)
