Review NaN of , from Heathfield, Sussex, UK

Summary:
On listening to these speakers in the audition roon, they sounded sterile and I wasn't sure. After agreeing to a home trial I was blown away. The bass is powerful and get well low, for my AOR type music, but he rest of the sound isn't left behind. I found the position of the speakers made all the difference as the bass drivers seem to be long throw. Maybe I have them too far apart, but as I have them on either side of a chimney brest there is nothing I can do about this. I was very happt with my Tangent speakers but these a a class apart, I am hearing things in the music which I have never heard before, bi-wired with Gale XL315 and coupled with my Cambridge Audio CD6 player and Music Fidelity X-A1 amp, I am getting a warm, powerful sound that I had only dreamed of before. These are a steal at the price and are a MUST for an audition at home.

Strengths:
Great build, powerfull bass, tight top end, good definition/separation

Weaknesses:
slightly unsteady spikes,

Similar Products Used:
Tangent Monitor 9s

Summary:
Well...i've bought these speakers because i needed to upgrade form my previous ones, that is, Monitor Audio's Monitor 9 Gold, and because they're standmount speakers, there was something missing ( guess what...Bass...the eternal problem ), but after a few audictions with the B&W's and the MA'a Bronze series, i've chosen the Mourdant Short's. Honestly, i'm very, very happy with them; it was a quantum leap on definition ( although the MA's never let me down on treble and midrange ), Treble and Midrange r just fantastic, and Bass is lean and fast, with punch yet controled, bass lovers like me will love these speakers.
It was THE BEST BUY I'VE EVER MADE!!! believe me...

My system includes a Teac A-X5000 Amplifier, Sansui CD-X711 CD Player, Teac V-7010 Deck, and last but not least Qed Qudos Silver Speaker Cable for Bi-Wiring.

Go for an audition and you'll see...

Strengths:
Well Balanced.Great Treble and Midrange. Bass is Top-Notch.

Weaknesses:
Nothing that i can think of.

Similar Products Used:
B&W 603s2, Monitor Audio Monitor 9 Gold, Monitor Audio Bronze 3.
