Price Paid:  $139.00 from Richer Sounds

Summary:
i bought the speakers because of their looks origanlly. they look stunning but when i got them home i soon found out they sound as good as they look. they are perfectly clear and have an excellent bass range. i think tey were an absolute bargin at only 139 british pounds (about $200 us dollars)as they were ex demo models, but in perfect condition

Strengths:

Review 2 of 3

Price Paid:  $699.00 from Harvey Norman Manukau City Ak NZ

Summary:
Try it.

You will love it, especially as this model is now and "old" model.

Strengths:
Physically a stylish speker with an unusual style speaker enclosure (housing)(oval). Lovely use of real cherry wood which houses an aluminium tweeter and an elipticalbass/midrange. THe case is black and is a floor standing speakerof around 20 kgs say per speaker. Facilities include spikes for floor support and and bi wire posts, which I consider essential.

My previous gear has all been HIGH END, however a downturn in manufaturing meant pay for the kids education than listen to excessively expensive audio gear. I am however a dedicated electrostic fan.

I bought these on a whim, and demo'd them in a soundroom. Reference was Lazy SundayCD which I am very familiar with.

Quite literally I fell over with the clarity and tonality delivered by these speakers. They deliver seamless sound quickly and accurately, ans are well balanced through all ranges, even when pressed to distortion levels, they still perform admirable.

With the covers removed, I find these speakers quite beautiful in a very expensive Italian marquee way. In short gorgeous.

There is a rear port at the base which well deals with various sound data, watching 5.1 dvd's revealed good bacground effects eschewing forth clearly with a scene settihng ambience.

If ever there were speakers that competently bridged the gap with home cinema and audiophile demands, then these are them.

I bought these for $NZ 699 on a clearance, or around $US289. incl tax. No spikes were with the unit but I had some anyway.

I am very fussy when it comes to spending my money, I hate buying products at full retail. Since selling my last pair of Martin Logan Aerius which I upgraded to i spec, it has taken me 2 years to find a replacement set.

Whole heartily recommended and easy to drive.

Weaknesses:
Manual is generic and non specific

Review 3 of 3

Price Paid:  $300.00

Summary:
Lot's of style and sound in one package. Great rich bass and clear aliminium dome tweeter (liquid cooled). One of the first CD that I have tried were Pink Floyd "Another brick in the wall". Since I have 5.1 system I wanted to compare to difference between using only MS and whole speaker set. The sound of helicopter was remarkable. It filled the room with warm deep but yet pure and clean sound. I will stick to MS I now that now.

Strengths:
Powerfull looks and sound, clear hights and full impressive bass.

Weaknesses:
can't buy one of them gotta have them all

Marantz MA-9S2 Power AmplifierThe list above has one tenet that I continue to hold true: high powered amplifiers are necessary to reproduce the full dynamic range of music with most speakers. This became apparent when I changed from the 100 Watt per channel Bella Extreme 100 to the 250 Watt.....

The unit arrived from China well packed and everything seem to be in place. No external abuse by the carriers. The only problem was the power supply it came with. The box came with a cheap step-down converter.
