Review 2 of 2

Summary:
I have lived with the Studio 20 Celebration for just one year. Mine are in a gorgeous piano lacquered rosewood. These not only look fantastic but the sound is so precise. I have used speakers in the past with more bass weight, but I do not miss this one iota. The 20's actually do go down fairly deep but it's not about bass quantity, no it's about quality. I have never heard a system sound as good as mine, not at hifi shows, not at dealers, nowhere. I am using Mark Levinson equipment, which is a bit overkill but it just proves what hi-end potential the Studio 20's have. My music flows with rythm and precise timing, but where the 20's really score is with the fantastic image they set up. I sometimes sit in the dark with my eyes closed and dream of being there. A wonderful loudspeaker worthy of it's world accolades over the last few years

Strengths:
Absolute clarity and precision

Weaknesses:
Appear costly at first sight, other than that none.

Magnepan Magneplanar MG 1.6 User Review

In my judgment the advantage of the MG 1.6 (and other Magneplars), stems from the following: = It is a full-range dipole, and = It has uses low-mass, planar drivers for the whole audio spectrum. These attributes account for its extraordinary clarity, coherence, “air”...
