Review 1 of 3

Price Paid:  $19000.00

Summary:
Unquestionably the best speaker system available. After years of searching and endless auditioning, I chose the DSP6000's. They have a sense of realism and clarity that most speakers lack. They create a broad soundstage that the B&W's can't touch. If you have the money to spend definitely give these babes a listen!

Strengths:
Built-in amps & processors, ability to upgrade as new technology comes out!

Weaknesses:
None

Similar Products Used:
Martin Logan, Linn, B&W, Wilson, LM, etc..

Review 2 of 3

Price Paid:  $20000.00 from HiFi-huset i Baerum

Summary:
Meridian DSP 6000 are very fast loudspeakers with a lot of detail. They are the most dynamic loudspeakers I have ever listened to. They are actually able of reproducing concerts in your livingroom. They outperform my former JmLab Antea''s, which are great speakers, comparable to the JmLab 920 electra. You can''t bring them out of balance, the soundlevels attainable are really loud, if that is a goal, and it is. Because classical concerts are not performed at "background music" soundlevels and the Meridian DSP 6000 really makes it work. listening to jazz is also very nice since you can actually hear all the musical details which is very important to the experience. They are also GREAT at playing Kari Bremnes.

Strengths:
They are wonderful loudspeakers.

Weaknesses:
They are large and expensive

Similar Products Used:
JmLab Antea, Mirage M5si, JmLab 920, Tannoy D500

Review 3 of 3

Price Paid:  $13600.00

Summary:
The best speakers available for the money.

Strengths:
These speakers have the richest & cleanest sound I have ever listened to. I am constantly hearing for the 1st time new instruments and passages from music I have listened to for years on my old stereo. Lows, mid-range and highs are so good, you feel like you are listening to live music. These speakers are self powered, so no large bulky and spouse unfriendly amplifiers are needed. Also, since the signal sent to the speakers is digital, there is no need for expensive or thick speaker wiring. I have had these speakers now for 3 years and have had absolutely no technical problems with them, and have not once been sorry I spent so much money on them.

Weaknesses:
They cost a hell of alot of money. However, I use this product every day and to me listening to music is as important as a car or boat. I feel these speakers are well worth the money.

In my judgment the advantage of the MG 1.6 (and other Magneplars), stems from the following: = It is a full-range dipole, and = It has uses low-mass, planar drivers for the whole audio spectrum. These attributes account for its extraordinary clarity, coherence, “air”...
