Bottom Line: With these speakers I'm discovering music all over again. These are just the best speakers I have ever heard. I'm hearing details in familiar music I never knew were there. Voices are so clear I'm able to understand words in songs I've never understood before. And of course the bass is incredable. I added a HT-4 center speaker and HT-3 surrounds for a home theater setup and movie explosions will shake the house, no subwoofer needed or recommended.
They will play amazingly loud with just a 100 watt amplifier but work really well with 500 watts (am using a MC500 amp). Surprisingly you can play them at a very low volume and still hear the details in music quite well. These speakers are very hard to find used but are well worth it. I talked to a owner of a pair who just wouldn't sell them, because he would only consider getting another pair of the same speakers.
