Review 2 of 2

Price Paid:  $53000.00 from USA

Summary:
The sound is the finest and most life-like I have heard from any system. These are the best sounding loudspeakers I've owned. They play more coherently and cleanly than any speaker I've heard.
The 101 Es have the best treble, midrange, low and low end I've heard from any loudspeaker. They sound in three dimensional space as with no other loudspeaker in my experience. The 101 Es sound great with any music: classical, jazz, soul, rock, chill out....in my experience they are the best loudspeakers of the World like no other.

Strengths:
Treble clarity
Midrange purity, clean
Bass extension
Transparent
Soaring musical delicacy
Neutral
Coherently, believable sound staging and musical reality
Addictive,
Natural: life-like
No coloration, no compressed
Detail, airy
High resolution,
Three dimensions sound (as it would be live)
Convincing tonal balance

Weaknesses:
Impedance : 4 ohm
Sensitivity : 81 db/w/m. You will need a big couple of power amplifiers like the mbl 9011 (or better like the mine biamplif. with 2 power amplifiers/ loudspeaker)

Similar Products Used:

Bowers and Wilkins Nautilus 800
Wilson Audio Alexandria X-2
Kharma Ceramique
Focal JM Lab Grande Utopi Be

Marantz MA-9S2 Reference Series Power Amplifiers Review

Marantz MA-9S2 Power AmplifierThe list above has one tenet that I continue to hold true: high powered amplifiers are necessary to reproduce the full dynamic range of music with most speakers. This became apparent when I changed from the 100 Watt per channel Bella Extreme 100 to the 250 Watt.....

Lowther’s DX-65 driver in the Teresonic Magus XR Review

A new driver from Lowther is real news. A new five inch driver is even rarer news, so it was with great anticipation that I waited on this pair of speakers to arrive.

Aune Mini Headphone DAC User Review

The unit arrived from China well packed and everything seem to be in place. No external abuse by the carriers. The only problem was the power supply it came with. The box came with a cheap step-down converter.
