$0.00 Summary: MartinLogan Vista is a good speaker indeed. It's best part is the fast speed, resolution and deep three-dimensionality which the stator only can deliver.
The worst part is that Vistas may be a bit tricky with the placement because to get everything out of the speaker you have to have some distance from the listening position to spk. The second con is that they need a wall socket to work properly, so one should have decent power cables and a mains filter to get the best results. Thirdly, Vistas need a good source, of course, and a powerful amp to drive them. However, if you have all these aforementioned things in order, the result should be spellbinding and addictive. Frequency range is quite good: 43 Hz to 23000 Hz. However, a very demanding listener could need a subwoofer, but that depends on the listener mainly, because the 43 Hz is quite low and it's not played at -12dB :)
The electrostats might need a little careful tweaking and tune-up with the placement, but the work is surely rewarding. No other, normal, dynamic speaker is able to beat the sound and the atmosphere the ML stators could create. Well, once you have heard them....
