a Audio EnthusiastDate Reviewed: March 27, 2011
Bottom Line: Great sounding piece of gear when setup correctly. They image outside the box all the time and create an expansive soundstage. Instruments are placed beautifully on the stage and voices are tangible. I am very satisfied with these speakers and find them to be reliable under various humidity conditions so far. I have them about 4 feet out from the rear wall and about 8 feet apart with me sitting about 12 feet back. I am running them off a Cambridge 640r and play most of my music through and Arcam Rdac from a Toshiba laptop.
These speakers are ultra transparent but still retain a lovely musicality and portray the true character of the musical instruments.
I have owned 1.6 maggies and was a bit worried about the cohesion of woofer and stat panel, but I have nothing to complain about here, the combination sounds seemless to my ears.

Bottom Line: When i first heard these in the shop, i thought. wow, what a bargain, and what a sound.
After a few hours of listening i realised why they were the price they were. Way to bright with to the extent that i walked away wishing i hadnt bought them home, and with a head ache.
Anyone want a pair of MLs going cheap?
