Review 1 of 3

Price Paid:  $140.00 from Hawthorne Stereo

Summary:
Very good inexpensive loudspeakers for a starter system or to replace the loudspeakers in a mini system. Great for surrounds!

Strengths:
highly musical low-end loudspeakers

Weaknesses:
sins of omission considering cost and size

Similar Products Used:
monitor audio, aegis one's, dunlavy, etc.

Review 2 of 3

Summary:
Excellent for moderately to low priced surrounds, they are too small in size and range to use for digital systems but sound great for the £50.00 I paid. They are in a decent weight of case and putting them on a good solid stand or bracket helps makes a big difference to the bass response.
At 50 quid you can't really go that far wrong.

Strengths:
Clear and rich sound for the size and price

Weaknesses:
None as prologic surrounds, but too weak for main speakers. The front design is also a bit "plastic" close up, but overall the bevelled edges and charcoal finish looks pretty good.

Sony surounds

Moscode 402Au OLT stereo power amplifier Review

George is adamant about the fact that the Moscode 402Au is not just a tube gain stage slapped onto a solid-state power amplifier; rather, it is a tube amplifier with a MOSFET output stage.

Lowther’s DX-65 driver in the Teresonic Magus XR Review

A new driver from Lowther is real news. A new five inch driver is even rarer news, so it was with great anticipation that I waited on this pair of speakers to arrive.

Aune Mini Headphone DAC User Review

The unit arrived from China well packed and everything seem to be in place. No external abuse by the carriers. The only problem was the power supply it came with. The box came with a cheap step-down converter.
