Summary:
I did an extensive comparison between the Nautilus 805 and the Joseph. The Joseph RM7si signature won with better soundstage and resolution. A great pair of speakers, especially if you can find them on the used market. My system consists of Pioneer 525 DVD transport, Bel Canto DAC1, and Audio Research pre/power amp. It worked very well with Monarchy solid states power amp as well.

Strengths:
Clean and detail wrapped with a layer of warmth. Efficient and easy to drive.

Weaknesses:
Not much.

Summary:
System context: VPI/SME turntable, Naim cdp, Naim 32-5/hicap/250 amplification. This review is of the Signature version, placed on very heavy 24" stands in a well damped room 17x13, firing the long way, roughly four feet from back wall and away from the sides.

The Josephs do so much right. Their resolution is tremendous, best in this price range that I've heard. They image, but more importantly they let you hear what each instrument is doing. They nail the sound of guitar and brass. Really fantastic on those instruments. The bass doesn't go ultra deep, but is very good for a box of this size, very quick, and very tuneful. A little on the warm side, though. The treble is very clean and sparkling. They have great snap on percussion and transients in general. And they really resolve musical detail, like the eddies of a sax, and the pitch of instruments. The delicacy portrayed gives a good measure of the URTHERE feeling.

On the downside, the treble is a bit bright. But it is clean. However, the upper midrange can be a bit hard. In particular, piano, while rendered with great detail and tune, is too hard sounding. There are a couple of piano notes that jump out, which must be due to a resonance of some sort. And voices lack the breath of life that you hear in Pro Ac, for instance, sounding instead a bit thin and nasal. Perhaps tubes, or rich sounding solid state like Exposure (which I think would make a great combo) would cure this entirely. Well you can't have everything.

The cabinets are good, but not as good as the other brands mentioned above, and the veneer is not very durable.

Overall, these are very fun to listen to, and offer a very open window on the music for the price. But not perfect. If I find the perfect speaker in this or any price range, I'll let you know.

Summary:
I've owned the Joesph Audio RM7si signatures for two years now and find that they are one of the finest mini monitors I've heard.
The asociated equipment used in this review is as follows
SOTA Sapphire with FT-3 tonearm and Bluepoint cartridge for analouge, for CD playback a Esotric P-500 CD transport with a AA DTI and PS Audio Digital link linked up with Cardas digital cables. Preamp is a Audio Reserch SP-9mk2 driving a set of VTL 80 watt mono's with 20 feet of Monster M1000mk2. The speaker cable's are Nordost biwire Blue Heaven's. The lowest FQ's are handeled by a Sunfire True Subwoofer mk2 which is run off the speaker posts of the VTL's with Nordoast Flatline. Power conditioners are Monster and Audioprisum.
These speakers sound best to me when placed on stands at least 27" high, I use sand filled 27" lovan stands the effect is that it places the image at a more realistic level. The soundstage is vast with great depth and images are very stable and well placed within the soundstage and with the right recordings can throw images outside the speakers edges. The midbass is very well controlled and the 6 1/2 inch woofer can fill my 13' by 15' room very nicely. The tonal balance is smooth with the bass rolling off at about 40 HZ and the highs are extened without sounding harsh.
These speakers are very easy to drive and can be used with low powered push-pull and SET tube amps but they will take power and if your taste runs to large scale symphonic works and rock I would suggest at least 50 watts or more.

Extended very defined bass for the size, Great soundstage with excellent imaging and clarity!

Weaknesses:
Needs to be on a higher stand than most mini's

Summary:
Big Dynaudio fan and Always will be, but this is by far one of the best sounding speakers I have heard in a long time. Very detailed huge soundstage and it matches up very good with my NAD Silver Series Intergrated Amp and CD Player. I have owned systems 10 times more expensive but the Combo of the NAD and Joesph Audio RM7si Signature speakers is the best sounding system "to my Ear" that I have heard in many years. A 5 Star preformer at a great price. Enjoy!!!!!!!

Summary:
An excellent pair of monitors, great value (the signature model). I've matched this with Jeff Rowland's integrated amp and EAR's V20 tube integrated with excellent results. The female voice sounds very smooth and silky, with absolutely no grain and grit. The piano sounds like a piano. I can go on and on, but try one for yourselves.

Strengths:
Details, pace, and very smooth mid range, very revealing.

Weaknesses:
None, just don't match this with lousy electronics
