I recently went to demo Yamaha DSP-A1 at a store in the UK, the DSP was hooked up to the JBL's. I had origally intended to get some less expensive speakers (Polk or Ruark where under consideration). However after hearing the JBL's I had to have then. Suberb detail, awesome bass from DD DVD's. Audio reproduction is superb.
The sub is something else, when i got it home I nearly took the roof off my attic with the alien landing scene from Mars Attack.

I bought the JBL about six months ago. It really rocks !!!When listening to Face/Off or Independece day I nearly tear down the house !!
The sound could be a bit clearer and the humming from the transformator really shouldn't appear in a product with it's price. Ells it satisfies every need you may ever have for bass :)
