Strength:

This amp comes with no remote so be prepared to get up to change the volume and change the input selections. There are also no preamp outputs, so you can not use this as a preamp in the future. It is obvious that the design team at Rega chose to stick their money in the heart of the machine. truck repair

These speakers are absolutely stunning in all respects. The build quality is superb and they look great especially with their Seas Excel magnesium mid range drivers!
The sound is very neutral and natural, not unlike a very good studio monitor and they can be tuned to the acoustics of the room with the variable cross-over.
I'm using a 24 bit, high resolution front end and high-end prototype 24 bit Dac. Avondale Grad 1 preamp/power supply and Avondale Dual mono 160w power amp. (all upgraded)
It doesn't matter how revealing the source is, these speakers are simply unburstable and i'm loving every minute.
The only speaker I've heard that was as detailed as the Concert 11s had Scanspeak drivers and cost twice as much. They also image very well but perhaps not as well as D'Appolito designs which I have owned.

None at this price

These speakers are superb. Great fit and finish, but more importantly the sound quality is unmatched by anything near the price. What I really enjoy about these is that they give great resolution and detail without being overly analytical.

If you're familiar with MF gear then you'll know the power and quality of the Nu-Vista set of components that I'm using to drive the speakers. No doubt that, and the nice Nordost cables, play an important role in the overall experience.

As you can tell I like these speakers a lot, but am also always 'in the market' for new gear and have listened to many new and great sounding sets of loudspeakers over the past few years. I've yet to replace them...and I've been shopping loudspeakers up to the $25K range. I just haven't found anything yet that is significantly better..at least for my taste.

Customer Service

Excellent, had one small problem with fluid leaking from one of the midrange drivers, they came to my house and replaced the unit quickly and at no cost.

Strength:

Midrange is in a class of it's own for this price range. Smooth, blends from top to bottom and provides totally enjoyable listening experience. Doesn't dissect the music like some of the higher end gear I've heard. You can listen to these for hours on end without a hint of fatigue or boredom.

Weakness:

With my system, none.

What can I say? I've had these Jamo D870's (aka Concert 11's) for almost 5 years now and have yet to hear a speaker at anywhere near the price that can touch them. Yes, I know, Jamo isn't known for high end speakers, mostly selling lower price ok kit. But these are something special. High end, crystal clear. Midrange, very impressive. Bass, tight and controlled. Aesthetics, absolutely top end finish and quality. All in all, a bargain at twice the price.

Strength:

Sound...Sound...Sound
Build quality and ability to set up to desired taste.

Weakness:

Poorly written manual. Sensitive to different cable types.

These speakers sing! The cabinets are furniture grade and they look great without being intrusive. In the all important midrange these speakers perform their best. They provide you with the ability to not only connect with the music, but the performers themselves. They get out of the way and enable you to hear the recording studio or venue. I can't say enough about them.
