Review 1 of 17

Price Paid:  $80.00 from Used

Summary:
I've boutght them for home cinema use (rear speakers). For this purpose they are good. But compeared to my Boston acoustics front speakers the have no bass and too strong middle and high. Jamo's are very loud but not as precise as the Boston. I will sell them and replace with Boston. Listen to Boston VR3 and you will discover why.

Strengths:
Loud.

Weaknesses:
No bass. Small frequncy range. Cold sound.

Review 4 of 17

Price Paid:  $270.00 from cosmos

Summary:
i had to choose between jamo classic 8, magnat vector 6 and quadral qlx 215 (which look extremely good) (probably not well known speakers outside germany/austria)
i finally took the jamos, and i regret it a little bit now; they look very good, there is tons of bass for this size, but there seems to be missing a great portion of sound, especially when you´re listening to rock, heavy metal (black Sabbath for example);
good for jazz, blues and rave/mode´rn music, bad for anything else in stereo;
very good in surround mode, especially when you use speakers of equal size for rear channels, no need for a sub, no maam´!

Strengths:
pretty good bass for this size,very nice looks, bi-wiring/amping

Weaknesses:
bad mid-range and treble, something seems to be missing

Similar Products Used:
JBL Ti6, Quadral QLX 215

Review 5 of 17

Price Paid:  $250.00

Summary:
I bought these speakers for my first homecinema. Got them for nothing and I didnt really listen to them... not as much as I should have I'm affraid.... My main purpose for these speakers was to have them lined up with my Denon AVR-1801 and my now SONY NS-dvp400D DVD... a pair of surroundspeakers and a crappy center... just so I could atleast enjoy my DVD's a little more... I wasn't after something even near a HiEnd-system.

So far I'm pleased with my classic 8 speakers... as long as we are talking about homecinema... In stereo they where a big disapointment. Drums have an uggly habit to dissapear. Not even the intro in Smells like Teen Spirit by Nirvana is very good any longer... this is not something a sub can make up to so DONT by these speakers if you are looking for a stereo setup... They dont stand a chance against speakers like B&W dm603 Sx or Dali xxxx... Great for parties though... LOUD is the word... BASS is another... hehe...

(the value rating is not for the $250 I paid...)

Strengths:
Home cinema and techno/trance in stereo...

Weaknesses:
bad midrange but who cares for that price... (and yeah... I have crappy english... not my fault... i'm a dumb blonde!!)

Similar Products Used:
B&W DM603 S2, Dali 6006

Marantz MA-9S2 Power AmplifierThe list above has one tenet that I continue to hold true: high powered amplifiers are necessary to reproduce the full dynamic range of music with most speakers. This became apparent when I changed from the 100 Watt per channel Bella Extreme 100 to the 250 Watt.....

The unit arrived from China well packed and everything seem to be in place. No external abuse by the carriers. The only problem was the power supply it came with. The box came with a cheap step-down converter.
