Summary:
The Kappa 12" definitely upholds Infinity's goal of accuracy and quality in sound. This subwoofer provides extremely tight, excellent bass whether playing Dave Matthews or Tupac in the car. It also has great power handling and can definitely give you a headache if you crave SPL. This thing really does hit hard. After hearing my stereo, friends with systems consisting of subs ranging from dual JL 12s, to dual Rockford Fosgate Punches, to dual Pioneer subs have been amazed by the bass output of my single Kappa in a small sealed box. I am driving the Kappa 12 with a Pioneer 240x1 GMX-722 amp. For highs, I have Infinity Kappa 6.5" two-ways driven by their own Pioneer GMX-324 30x4 amp. I very highly recommend this Kappa 12" sub as well as the entire Kappa line to anyone who is serious about clarity and accuracy as well as SPL in their sub and system.
