I have had many speakers over the last 30 years dynaudio, wilson watt puppy 5.1 , triangle , Sonus faber guinarious and many others... To start with these are the most beautiful speakers I have ever seen... built like a tank and a voice like an angel. The sound stage is very deep and the speakers are extreamly quick... no fatigue after listening for hours with tons of detail and no etching in the highs. I was very pleasently surprised with the bass as it was both quick and deep with excellent pitch. Heavy duty WAF fit in any decor and in my 25-16-9 ft room no need for a sub. Not really well known in this country for their speakers when you can find them you can get quite the deal... and I promise that you wont be able to better them for twice the price. Im currently using rowland concerto preamp, meridian 57 amp and a copland 823 cd player... Acc. include Van Den Hul bi wire speaker cables ( great match for the speaker ) NORDOST POWER CABLES ( GREAT LIFE TO THE SOUND ), audioquest panther balanced interconects, Future changes may center around the power amp... maybe a gamut d 200 or a rowland 201... If your looking for something in this price range do yourself a favor and check it out... youll be glad you did.

This is a great speaker. I was looking for a speaker within 4000$ and didnt find any good speaker that matched my idels. Then i tryed the L3 and was stuned how good everything was. It competed with Dynaudio Contour S3.4 and won at every point except the bass. But yet it very not bad it was very good. It was close that i would walk out with the L3 but i thought that i should test the L5 just to see how good the Floorstanding model was. AND DAMN! everything fell into place and i decieded that it was the right speaker for me. Today i almost got a complete range of GamuT Products which competes with the best systemes in the world.
My range is: GamuT L5 as speakers, GamuT D200 mk3 as Power amplifer, GamuT D3 as Pre Amplifer and GamuTs own interconnects. within time im thinking of buying the CD1 but im not sure, CD3 shall be much better if you trust other reviews.
