Summary: Like most reviewers already wrote. It just does everything right. it has a Mid-section with enough body (without clouding the total sound image and a not to bright but very accurate tweeter...And also a firm bass. That's all I need.
Strengths: Excelent treble. Good 'pinpoint'.
Weaknesses: Almost to heave to cary alone... :-)

Summary: This speaker is out of production so bear that in mind. I love this speaker! Thanks to Elliot Kallen at The Tweak Shop in Santa Rosa for the recommendation. It does everything right. I recently got to go to Goodwins Audio in Waltham, MA where my brother-in-law worked and listen to their $100,000+ system (Avalon Eidolon, Oracle cables, Spectral electronics, etc.). All I can say is "Why spend more?" This speaker works best with tubes as far as I can tell and of course a good front end playing LPs or CDs couldn't hurt either. It is uncanny in the way it reproduces percussion. Classical, opera, orchestral, vocals, rock, blues, techno (yes, Ministry of Sound & Leftfield) all sound great. You can't go wrong. Find a pair used or contact The Tweak Shop at for their new line-up. My system - Music Reference RM-9, Audible Illusions Modulus Three, Thorens cd, VPI-SME-Grado lp, Garth Audio interconnects, Just-a-rack, Monster speaker cables, MIT Z-strip, etc.
Strengths: Timbral accuracy, speed, solid bass response, wide soundstage, pinpoint imaging, small footprint, etc.
Weaknesses: Sounds best listened to at the recordings original decibels. Is that a weakness?

Summary: This speaker are very GREAT, It's sound like line ELECTRA, very detail, with a very good stereo. A lot of deep Bass, a good medium and a high end tweeter (TIOXID) for very good treble ... and look very nice ... the best FROM JM-LAB under 1000$ ...

Summary: I found this review mistakenly placed under the Cobalt 820 section so I thought it should be placed in the correct section. I am an owner of the Spectral 909.1 and I have to agree with the writer. "Because there is no place to review the spectral 909.1 I am using this location. I recently had the opportunity to listen to this speaker at a high end dealer in Montreal Canada and was very impressed with it's smooth, detailed sound. When compared to a Paradigm Reference 100 in the same listening room, I felt the Paradigm to be a bit bright for my taste, while the JM seemed to do everything right. If anyone owns this speaker please submit your review under this same speaker title."
Strengths: Great imaging, soudstaging, timbral accuracy and dynamics.
Weaknesses: At this price point none.
