Strength:

These speakers offer a good sound when you play jazz or classical music. You will hear a lot of details and an amazing bass even in a small room, but do not expect too much. The excellence is reserved only to Bowers and Wilkins

Weakness:

No weaknesses at this price.

Chorus 714V is an ultimate mind blowing experience packaged in a beautiful wooden enclosure, The tweeters were amazing giving a consistent 90 db at 1m distance with amazing trebles during my test without cranking nor distortion.
Overall a satisfactory results with amazing freq respo. meeting the specs.
Chorus 714V with Yamaha Avantage seemed the best combination to me.
Have also tested the theatrical Atmos experience with the same which gave me a WOW effect just that we will need to ensure proper placement of subwoofers with consistent acoustics to Bass trap and with little tweek in calibration, I had a swift experience. Guys shud try this stuff.

Some word about this product (IMO):
Cheap trick, damages and some crease on the cabinet and on the speakers, gluepaths in various volume all around the boxes. Typical budget product.
Sound in two words - disco feeling: raised bass and loud treble without refinement. But the soundstage is not bad if you have enough space around these. So if you listen background music in a dark room (sized app. 20 sm) you'll probably neglect the weaknesses.
Try another product before buy it.
Made in France doesn't mean much in this case.

wow. i cannot believe the sound produced by these smaller floorstanders. everything about these speakers are top notch. definitely worth the price tag and more. i have the polyglass speakers in my car too, focal are just the best all around. the one thing that stands out about these speakers compared to others in the same price range is the breathtaking sound staging and the magnatude of the sound produced. i do have them in a small room but i am sure they would do well in a larger area also. eventually i will trade up for the 800 series just for the soul fact that they can go louder. don't get me wrong these things sound awesome but sometimes i just want to crank them up and not have to worry about pushing them too hard. for now i am vary happy with the 714v.
