Strength:

Purity of sound
Dynamic
Detail
Softness of highs if partnered with the right electronics.
Almost perfect tranparancy.

Weakness:

BAd recordings and components will be revealed.
Hardrock sounds maybe a little too lean.

First note that these speakers are one of the most revealing speakers you will come across. That said they first of all demand a good amp, they dont need a lot of power but demand quality amplification.
Besides, they are not the fullest sounding of speakers, and I woulnd't recommend to use them with thin sounding components, but natural to fuller than natural will do. Cable choice also alters the sound in a mentionable degree.
Do not interpret this as them being difficult to partner with electronics and cables, cause they worked well with everything I tried.

They sound fast, very detailed, extremely dynamic en let every emotion of a music piece come through in a breathtaking manner. Peaceful music sounds almost as therapy, stressfull music lets you sit on the ede of your seat. Swinging music swings like never before.
They are very pure sounding, in particular in the highs and mids, and with the right cables also in the lows.
Their beryllium tweeter is one of a kind, it is capable of producing a combination of lots of detail, extreme tranparancy and dynamics and all of this in the softest of ways. Only take note that it is that revealing, that it doesn't accept bad recordings in a very good way.
But with the right recording it will create almost perfect transparancy, and lets you completely forget that you are listening to speakers.
Room ambiances come through perfectly, live sounds like the real thing.
Some sounds sound like they come from way underground, others from houses away.
Bass fills the entire room with ease.
They also handle movies very well, basses are tight with impact, movie moods will hit you like it is the first time you really "see" the movie, every time!

Strength:

Detailed, great insight in the recording, fequencies fit together, detailled soundstage.

Weakness:

Not always a pleasure to hear so detailled, see summary

Sure, expectations were high, as a friend offered me his pair, because he bought the Thiel 3.7.
Driven on the Nuvista M3 they sound very good to great, but can also be disappointing.
Why this? It depends very much, on what kind of music you are listening i.e. how good it is/was recorded. A fine recording like Oscar Petersons "We get requests" will shine, be sure.
A harsh, compressed piece of sh.... will sound awful because it is awful.
Like you see things on a HD TV: its not always good to see every detail. (Oh look, is this a moustache on her lip....)
If you can live with that, its a great pair of speaker.
Another thing: every instrument or voices doesnt only have their freuquencies, they also have there harmonics. Makes a difference thanks to the beryllium tweeter.
Maybe its the amplifier or my taste, but for my taste this speaker are not too cool or overanalyzing.
